About this project

|
In March 2008, Banpresto was absorbed into its parent company Namco Bandai and practically dissolved (though not entirely; see the History page as I really don't feel like explaining all those shenanegans again). However, the name wasn't completely retired, as Namco Bandai used the Banpresto label on several of its future games, alongside the Namco and Bandai brands. This was done simply because of name recognition and brand awareness; all three of these companies carry important legacies behind them, and they were often used on products that best fit those three. By April 2014, Namco Bandai retired all three brands in order to unify them under the Bandai Namco banner (or whatever they said, frankly their reasoning is a load of bollocks if you ask me). All of these games were published by Namco Bandai Games; Banpresto had nothing to do with any of these.
This list is very incomplete simply due to the lack of proper documentation of this stuff. Please be patient, hopefully it won't take long to finish.
